Testimonials from school systems and
individual teachers and users:

I purchased "Seeing Numbers" for my son when he was about 4 and he loved working with the Program. The modules were easy to work with and he would choose to watch those tapes instead of other videos. He moved through the tapes pretty much on his own at his own pace. They were very engaging and now he loves Math. He is now 12 and has a solid Math foundation.

He has not scored less than the 98th %tile in Math on any of the State and National Test he has taken. He recently took the SAT with the Duke TIP program and commented to me that he felt confident in Math and mentioned the "Seeing Numbers" tapes that he watched when he was young.

I think the program was important in the development of his Math fundamentals and I would highly reccommend them to both parents and educators.

Our four year old granddaughter was visiting us. She and Grandpa were going to play 'War' (the card game), but she could not recognize her numbers. When the first two cards of '8' and '6' came up she could not tell who had the higher card. Grandpa said, "Count them" and proceeded to count one to one correspondence. I said, "Wait" and I took a set of Seeing Numbers from my book bag. I began showing her the dots and repeating the numbers as she saw the dots. Next, I had her tell me what the dots represented, after about 20 minutes she could tell the numbers by looking at the 'pictures' of the numbers. Then she and Grandpa began to play the card game. She was please she won the next several games. I was impressed with how quickly she visualized and remembered the numbers. I believe in Seeing Numbers, the program taught my granddaughter how to recognized numbers.

As a mother of a struggling child and an educator; I believe in the Seeing Numbers approach to math. My oldest son could not communicate until he was over 4 years old. I used the Seeing Math cards and activities to help him catch up. He is in 3rd grade and at the top of his class in math. His teachers are amazed.

Crisp County, GA School System has placed the program in pre-K, K, 1st and 2nd grades.

Dr. Phelps! It really does work! It has made life so much easier for me this year. Thanks for all the hard work you have put into this program. For the remaining of my teaching career, I will be using this concept with my youngsters.

Dr. Phelps,

Hope you are enjoying your summer! Just wanted to touch base with you on the Seeing Numbers math program results that you shared with Woodstation Elementary Kindergarten this year. We saw amazing results with our students and their  ability to develop understanding for numbers. The thing that caught my eye is for the first time, our math scores in Kindergarten are equal to, or better than our reading scores. Just thought you might would like to hear some results from your effort to develop this program.

My first grade teachers have come to me and asked to continue the program in first grade. So I would like to purchase the program and see if you had the time to present to the first grade how to effectively implement the program. We have in-service next year on August 29 to September 2, I was hoping to be able to set something up for you to come and train them during in-service. I have also shared this with Paula Bice at Menlo Elementary (Chattooga County) and I think they may be interested in seeing your presentation to our first grade teachers, if we can work it out.

Thank you for sharing this program with Woodstation Elementary, looking forward to seeing during in-service if possible. If you would please let me know what the materials would cost for 4 classrooms if you are willing to share with us again.

Thank you,
Doug Suits

Sue,
This program is as great as I thought it would be.  I love it and it is fun to teach!!!   I am teaching Braves Club after school for nine at-risk second graders and would love to be able to put it on the computers in the computer lab for them to work at their own pace as well as in a group with me.    Is there anyway this can be done?   I would love to follow through the whole program and get to the higher levels with them and my fourth graders as well.  Let me know!!
Thanks,
